Features:
Tempered glass is a kind of safety glass. Tempered glass is actually a kind of pre stressed glass, to improve the strength of the glass, often use the method of chemistry or physics. Quenching sets the outer surfaces in compression and the inner surfaces in tension. Such stresses cause the glass, when broken, to be shredded into small pieces rather than splinter granular into jagged shards. The granular chunks are less likely to cause injury. So it is called safety glass.
Tempered Glass Advantages :
—-Four to five times stronger than ordinary float glass and could be used in many applications.
—-Five to eight times impact resistance as ordinary glass. Could stand higher static pressure loads than regular glass.
—-Three times more than ordinary glass, could bear the temperature change about 200°C-1000°C or more.
—-Tempered glass shatter into oval-shaped pebbles when broken, which eliminates the danger of sharp edges and relatively harmless to human body.
